Meters and current transformers

An energy meter measures current flow at the building’s point of connection. The hybrid inverter uses this data to charge the energy storage with surplus, power the home from the battery and limit export to the grid. Without a meter, the storage system doesn’t know when to charge or discharge.

  • 1- and 3-phase meters - incl. Chint DTSU666, Eastron SDM630, F&F.
  • Dedicated meters - Sigenergy, SolarEdge, SolaX, Hoymiles and Huawei.
  • Current transformers (CTs) - for semi-indirect measurement at higher currents.

The meter must be supported by the inverter, so check the list of compatible models in the device documentation.
